This is a numbered plate block of 4 stamps as pictured. (plate number may vary from stock picture). ~ On June 8, 1996 in Toronto Canada, the USPS issued this se-tenant of 4 stamps, introducing to the public four prehistoric creatures: the Eohippus, Woolly Mammoth, Mastodon, and Saber-tooth cat. Originally scheduled to be released in 1995, these stamps were put on hold until 1996 due to technical problems in the printing process.
